Showing evolution of Nagpur
Museum is a center for knowledge showcasing history and facts of various subjects. They often tell about the history of a city, the rulers that existed, the battles they won and all such basic information, but no museum talks about various events which also had major contribution in evolution of the city but were never represented in the limelight.

The present museums are for elitist, uninspiring and aloof as they are encouraged only the educated people who visit them. The general public are excluded. The design is very formal and seem monotonous after a certain period of time, eventually makes people lose interest in the subject of the museum. This focus has today become too narrow and unacceptable in a changing world where there is sustained clamor for more openness, pragmatism and collective involvement in dealing with issues that impact on people, communities and nations.
In our modern society,
• It has become necessary and indeed urgent for museums to redefine their missions, their goals and their functions.
• Museums must become agents of change and development: they must mirror past and present events in society and become instruments of progress by calling attention to actions and events that will encourage development in the society.

Is it necessary that museum should focus on educational experience only?

Can it be a place for social interaction which provide a new way of learning?

Can it be a place which connects people socially, emotionally and intellectually?
