Visit the past, the present, the future
The ‘museum of space endeavors’ is the result of research into the moon colonization. After six months of research and meeting various government agencies, including the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), the vision of space colonization started to become less cloudy, but it took a lot of time and effort to understand the possibilities of space colonization.
India has 29 museums and science centres around the map but none of them is capable of making a 12-year-old child dream of becoming an astronaut or an explorer. This thought gave birth to the project.
The museum is designed on the site of a proposed aerospace museum. However, it is completely different. A museum that educates visitors not only by the exhibits but by exhibition spaces themselves. Spaces which simulate different possibilities of space colonization and make visitors feel that the time has come, that architecture can expand out there, and that we can expand out there.
The aim of the design was to make visitors see human achievements in space and near future possibilities of extra-terrestrial settlements through architectural intervention.
The concept was to create an environment for the visitors not only by the built form but by utilizing the whole site.
A museum which shows the past and upcoming journey of the human race.
